- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I have no complaint about Dr Donnelly - I haven't needed to see a doctor for many years - but rather the treatment received upon arrival at the surgery. Feeling very poorly and having tried for a number of hours to contact the surgery to book an appointment, and being unsuccessful, I left work in Saintfield and drove to the surgery in Belfast. Upon arrival I asked if I could book an appointment to see a doctor, when asked who was my doctor I genuinely didn't believe Dr Doctor was still practicing - possibly retired - so said I wasn't sure. At this stage I took a coughing fit and my ribs and side started getting sore again. The receptionist, without asking my name or what i believed was wrong with me, told me she can give me an appointment for April 5th! I looked at her is disbelief and said "seriously"? "afraid so" "forget it" I said "probably be dead by then". The receptionist showed about as much empathy for me as a checkout person at a garage. Most of my family have been registered with this surgery for over 50 years. I am sorry to see such a decline at this surgery and i am thinking seriously of transferring to somewhere else.
